This site is starting to get setup, soon (in geologic time) information on several small embedded CPU's will be available. The CPU's I'm interested in are;

Back in the early days of microprocessors I was a big fan ot the Motorola MC6809, and MC68000 cpu chips, they were a pleasure to write code in assembler and creating an efficient  compiler was an enjoyable task.

So lately I been playing (as opposed to a serious project) with the S8 family of chips and I'm considering also using the HS12 family, and finally the Coldfire family which are an updated MC68000 chips so I will be using them also.

Under construction

 This AVR project as much as I would like to get back to it, is on hold for now due to work time demands. I'm also taking a lot of my spare time the little there is and working on a group buy of parts.

 

I have not had a lot of experience with the AVR CPU chips but lately I have been writting some test programs for the ATMega88 CPU chip, and I am very pleased.

 

Several good things right off the bat about the AVR family of chips;
